M365 From SA – Mit használhatok és hogyan?

Tipikus formája ennek az M365 From SA előfizetés.

  • Windows 10 Enterprise E3/E5
  • M365 Apps for Enterprise alkalmazáscsomag (korábbi nevén Office 365 ProPlus)

A From SA előfizetések vásárlási feltételeit a Termékfeltételek (Product Terms, PT) nevű dokumentum szabályozza. A dokumentum magyar nyelven is elérhető, ugyanakkor az időnként előforduló fordítási hiányosságok miatt az eredeti, angol nyelven szívesebben hivatkozunk rá.

Lássuk először, hogy a PT milyen feltételeket fogalmaz meg a From SA vásárlására vonatkozóan:

PT, Appendix C, Add-ons & Other Transition Licenses

From SA

  • „Customer may acquire From SA SLs instead of SA for fully paid, perpetual Licenses subject to the following conditions:
    • Customer has active SA or is renewing coverage for the corresponding Qualifying Licenses
    • Customer acquires no more than one From SA SL for each Qualifying License unless provided otherwise in this Appendix
    • Customer retains the corresponding Qualifying Licenses throughout its From SA license subscription period
    • Customer acquires From SA SLs at Enrollment anniversary or renewal

  • Windows Desktop Operating System
  • Core/Enterprise CAL Suite
  • Office Professional Plus

Mit ad nekünk az M365 From SA?

PT, License Terms, Software, Online Services, Microsoft 365, 2. Product Conditions, 2.2 Extended Use Rights for Microsoft 365 E3/E5

2.2.2 Office Professional Plus

2.2.2.1 Microsoft 365 From SA User SLs:

For each Licensed User to whom customer assigns a Microsoft 365 From SA User SL, Customer may install:

  • one local copy of Office Professional Plus for the sole use of the Licensed User for the duration of the subscription; and
  • one local copy of Office Professional Plus for new User SLs added to the same volume license agreement for the sole use of the Licensed User for the duration of the subscription. The number of new User SLs granted those user rights may not exceed the number of From SA User SLs initially covered under the agreement.

Ekkor lesz nekik:
    • 500 db M365 From SA előfizetésük (Mely 500 felhasználónak a fentiek szerinti korlátozott Office Professional Plus telepítési jogot is ad)
    • 500 db Windows Enterprise LTSC per Device upgrade licencük SA nélkül – ezek a licencek SA nélkül azonnal ahhoz a géphez kötődnek végleg, amelyhez rendelve voltak (ld. cikkünket a Windows 10 SA-ról)! Emellett összes SA előnyüket is elveszítik, így a virtualizációs jogokat is, tehát ezek a licencek a továbbiakban például VDI környezet elérését sem biztosítják.

  • A megmaradt From SA alaplicencünk között 500 db Office 2016 Professional Plus található.
  • 500 felhasználónk, van From SA M365 E3 előfizetéssel és 500 eszközzel.
  • Az összes eszközön Office 2019 Professional Plust telepítünk, a From SA előfizetések jogán.

Ez a jog kiterjeszthető a teljes árú (nem From SA) előfizetéssel rendelkező felhasználókra is, maximum a From SA mennyiségével egyező mértékben.

Manapság pedig, amikor a felhasználók munkakörnyezete napról napra változhat (munkahelyi munkavégzésről otthonira vagy vissza), az SA nélküli maradandó licencek használati lehetőségei egyre korlátozottabbak.

Dr. Telek Eszter

Mindent tud a szoftver szerzői jogról és a licencekről, még olyanokat is, amit maga a szoftver gyártója sem. A munkában szerzett tapasztalatait folyamatos tanulási, kutatási mániájával igyekszik bővíteni; rendszeresen publikál, illetve előadásokat tart szoftverjogi és az infokommunikációs jogterületet érintő egyéb kérdésekről.

A Pécsi Tudományegyetemen szerzett infokommunikációs szakjogász diplomája megszerzését követően PhD kutatást kezdett az ELTE Jogi Karán, ahol a nyílt forráskódú szoftverekkel és a szerzői művek közkincsbe bocsátásával foglakozik.

Szabadidejében lehetőség szerint sokfelé utazik (ennek érdekében igyekszik tökélyre fejleszteni a törvényes szabadnapok felhasználásának módozatait), emellett szívesen olvas, jár színházba, moziba, és - kollégái nyomása ellenére - igyekszik ellenállni a Star Wars és Indiana Jones filmek maratonszerű megtekintésének.

Sándor Zsoldos

Zsoldos Sándor

He is one of the founders of IPR-Insights.

Working for the biggest software producer in the world, he figured that the modern version of the old phrase saying "set a thief to catch a thief" is "get a thief as a consultant to catch a thief" (obviously, we would not like to hurt anyone's feelings, we can't help the phrase goes like that - ed.).

In his spare time, he does woodworking (at learner level), takes photos (fairly well), or reads books (quite well). He doesn't have more spare time as he's the proud father of three beautiful children.
